Ok. Of course this is a remake because Hollywood does not have any more original ideas. This is a senior citizen comedy. My dad is in his mid 70’s, so I made a mental note on some of the jokes in the movie that I can use on him at a later date. The movie is nothing special, and completely unbelievable, but there is a TON of talented actors in this. Some of the scenes were overdone, but if you take it for what it is, it’s not god awful. I liked it, but not a lot. I was entertained taking it with a grain of salt, and if you can do that then you might be too. The movie could have been a lot better but I was glad to just make it through and not hate it. Pretty much all you can ask for from the liberals in liberal land these days! Good. You have to know what to expect going into this movie. I had such low expectations going in and it actually made me laugh. The Mobile Movie Man was not a Baywatch fan growing up. Don’t get me wrong….I loved the girls on the show. Straight fire on regular TV before you had the internet at your disposal, but I don’t think I ever watched an entire episode. You all know I’m a fan of the Rock, and I like his style of humor. If you can look past the silliness and the give me a break moments this is an easy movie to watch and enjoy. The actor that played Ronnie was hilarious and almost stole the show, epically with the scene that was reminiscent of Something About Mary. All in all this movie was WAY BETTER than I expected, and longer too. If you have your doubts, set them aside and trust The Mobile Movie Man, because this movie is a good laugh. Have I ever steered you wrong?? The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!
Ok. I was on vacation for a little bit kids, but I’m back with avengeance. 1st movie out of the shoot comes to us from Rosie in CT. Let me start by saying that it was not that funny but it was still entertaining. Rainn Wilson, who will forever be Dwight Schrute from the office to me, tries really hard to make this movie rock. It feels like the script and dialogue of the other characters seem to be written by a committee and that kind of brings the movie down a little bit. Christina Applegate brings the heat here and it was cool to see a pre Hangover Bradley Cooper as the wild guitarist in the rival band. The movie definitely does not suck but it’s not great either. Just ok. Thanks for the recommendation Rosie from CT and please keep just the good ones coming. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!
God Awful. I had seen the original Bad Santa and it was funny in certain spots but I’m being very generous saying that movie was fair at best. I can’t believe they made a sequel here because there is only so much you can do with these shallow characters. A drunk in a Santa suit is only funny for so long. I was absolutely shocked that Kathy Bates stooped so low in this movie. I was losing interest after 15 minutes. I loved the Hangover but do you remember how bad Hangover 2 was after the original? Think along those lines only 10 times worse. I’m praying to god that there is no Bad Santa 3. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs and you’ll be glad you did. Fair at best. . First off I want to welcome Gaia Svan to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out and please drop me a line at either firstname.lastname@example.org or at https://twitter.com/Mobilemovieman Now who are these people that want more Zack Galifianakis??? He is a one trick pony when he is playing the lovable loser. The guy had one good movie and has never had a decent follow up. He must have some following sort of like Adam Sandler does. It’s the same thing over and over. This movie is dumb. Arnold did this same type of thing much better with True Lies. The one thing I can say is that Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) is straight fire and brings the heat in this movie. Outside of that there is not a single positive thing I can say about this movie. There are a lot of movies I’ve seen recently that are way worse than this so there is no reason to go out of your way to see this one but if you do it’s not god awful. If you want to see something similar that is way better than this, you can either see True Lies or The Whole Nine Yards. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!
God awful. This is supposed to be a comedy??? Are you kidding me??? This movie is everything that I don’t want to see in a movie. I usually like these types of movies because I think back to when I was this age etc. and get all nostalgic, but I could not find one single redeeming quality in Hailee Steinfeld other than she is a good looking girl. She plays a self-centered, self-pitying, sulky, hateful, nasty, demanding, broad who surrounds herself with decent human beings who she spends the entire movie despising, ridiculing and tormenting them and making their lives a living hell. Then has the nerve to whine and complain “Oh gee, nobody likes me!!” I wonder why. Then the liberals in liberal land just flip a switch and everything is wonderful again. Give me a break with this garbage. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs because this movie is a dumpster fire! If you like these type of movies then see either The Duff, Sing Street, or The Spectacular Now. All of these are much better choices. The Mobile Movie Mans has spoken!!!
No Bueno. First off I want to welcome Bensbitterblog to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out and please drop me a line at either email@example.com or at https://twitter.com/Mobilemovieman The fact that this is a Wood Allen film is reason enough I should have skipped this one. The man just needs to retire because he is constantly putting out garbage over and over again. I saw this movie for Steve Carell, and not even he could save this movie. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart ruin this film. They are both horrid actors that are cardboard and cannot act at all. There is zero chemistry between them and they are supposed to be infatuated with each other. It was so bad that it was actually hilarious to me. These two are terribly miscast. Jesse’s voice is beyond cringe worthy. How he gets any roles is beyond me. He’s exactly the same in every part he plays. I have seen a bunch of movies he was in and every time he plays the exact same character. Zero range. I think Jesse and Kristen Stewart both need to find new careers. There is a point in the movie where I say to myself this has to get better. Maybe Woody can pull a rabbit out of his hat and redeem himself here, but nothing ever comes of it. This is just a boring movie. Just go away already Woody and die with dignity. Avoid this movie at all costs. You have been warned. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!
