Ok. This movie starts out god awful then there is a twist and picks up a little steam and turns into just an ok movie. I’m glad I didn’t turn it off after thirty minutes. The story line was just off base and far fetched but I guess you need to jazz up a script these days in order to sell it. Spoiler….This love affair where an officer would betray his country for a servant girl would NEVER happen. You have to suspend your belief levels a bit to find any enjoyment in the movie. Once you get past the absurdity the subject matter was interesting and covers history that is not normally covered. If you are a fan of WW2 movies and Nazi Germany then I think you will definitely see this movie. Liking it is a completely different story. Tread lightly. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!
Fair at best. First off I want to welcome AntVicino to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out, and please drop me a line at either email@example.com or at https://twitter.com/Mobilemovieman Now this movie is a complete snoozefest people. Nothing new here. It’s like a variation of things we have all seen before. It picks up some steam in the last 1/3 of the movie but by that point who cares. You are probably have a sleep by that time. In a nutshell this movie is about a reluctant agent who is lured out of retirement to interrogate a prisoner. If that sounds like something you want to see then go for it, otherwise avoid this one because there are much better things to see than this.
Fair at best. . First off I want to welcome Gaia Svan to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out and please drop me a line at either firstname.lastname@example.org or at https://twitter.com/Mobilemovieman Now who are these people that want more Zack Galifianakis??? He is a one trick pony when he is playing the lovable loser. The guy had one good movie and has never had a decent follow up. He must have some following sort of like Adam Sandler does. It’s the same thing over and over. This movie is dumb. Arnold did this same type of thing much better with True Lies. The one thing I can say is that Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) is straight fire and brings the heat in this movie. Outside of that there is not a single positive thing I can say about this movie. There are a lot of movies I’ve seen recently that are way worse than this so there is no reason to go out of your way to see this one but if you do it’s not god awful. If you want to see something similar that is way better than this, you can either see True Lies or The Whole Nine Yards. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!
Fair at best. First off I want to welcome BlookUp to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out and please drop me a line at either email@example.com or at https://twitter.com/Mobilemovieman Now we can debate if this movie is god awful or fair at best all day long. I guess I’m being a little generous because I love action movies but either way there is no reason to go out of your way to see this one. What in the world happened to Denise Richards face? This girl used to be straight fire back when the movie Wild Things came out. I’m talking 105 MPH heat. Now she looks like she has a permeate frown on her face after way too much plastic surgery. The plot here has been down before and much better I will add. It’s extremely predictable with no character build up and the acting is horrible across the board. There is some good action and that is why I made it through the entire movie so there is something to be said for that but after seeing some of the crap John Travolta has been in of late this movie is worthier of an Oscar nomination compared to those. If this is on I would suggest watching something else, and if there is nothing else on maybe go paint a room in your house and watch it dry. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!
Ok. This is Brad Pitt’s third WW2 movie and he brings a unique style to all three. The first was Inglorious Bastards, then Fury, and now Allied. This movie is entertaining enough as long as you can suspend your belief levels, but early on I thought this could have been a really good film. It’s basically a good story told badly. If Hitchcock were alive he would have made this movie and you would be sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next, instead you have Brad Pitt who is 50+ playing a guy half his age. As the movie continued I could see each scene unfolding before it happened and that was a little boring to me. The acting is decent and there is some chemistry between the leads. The plot is fairly standard. Nothing ground breaking here at all. The movie just leaves you wanting more. I will tell you that it’s fine for a rental if you have nothing else to watch, but you can definitely do way worse than Allied. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!
Good. I can hear some people yawning, but you guys know I like action movies, and if you like them as much as I do then you will like this one as well. I’m not going to lie, I do have a hard time separating Ethan Hunt from Jack Rreacher because to me they are exactly the same character, but Tom Cruise is very good in roles like this and turns in a solid performance. This movie has all of the elements of a good action movie. Suspense, plenty of action, some backstabbing, a decent cast, and a plot that actually makes sense with decent pacing, without being too confusing. Anyone who does not like an action movie with all of those components and Tom Cruise as a headliner should just stop watching action movies altogether and just go watch Les Miserable instead. This is a good Action movie that is better than half of the movies I saw last year. Game set match point! The Mobile Movie Man has spoken. Now go run along and enjoy your weekend. Class is dismissed!
Ok. This is the Mobile Movie Man’s type of genre, but this is only a so-so spy thriller and I’m a little biased. The main reason to watch this movie is because of Stellan Skarsgard’s performance. I really believed him as the Russian mafia traitor. The rest of the cast kind of just sleep walks through their performances. Now forget about the fact that I’ve never read a novel by John Le Carre, I’ve never even heard of this guy. If you are the type of viewer who has a hard time seeing a brutal rape scene or hears the F word a bunch of times you should not watch this movie. There are things I didn’t like about this movie but let me focus on what I did like. I liked how there were no confusing flash backs to explain anything. The plot runs like a play straight forward. No super here James Bond characters (although I do love 007) I did think the liberals in Hollywood changed the ending a little bit to soften it up for the American audiences, but all in all I thought I could do a lot worse than this movie. The movie was not very good but on the other hand it was not god awful either. One other thing I could do without is the male full frontals!!! Maybe it’s a European thing, but it’s definitely not a Mobile Movie Man thing. Bottom line, this is an ok movie. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!
