Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Fair at best. I can’t believe JK Rowling’s wrote this. Now I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan. My nieces and nephew were into it so I watched it so I had something in common to talk to them about and seem cool. I did like those movies, but call me unimaginative but I personally thought the plot here was nonsense. Just one disjointed weird thing after another. I thought the lead who besides being a pretty powerful wizard was a complete miscast for that part.  I did like the mind reading witch who I thought was lovely and charming, and the baker steals every scene he was in. Thank god for him because this might have been a god awful movie without him. There was such a star studded cast here that the movie should have been much better in my opinion. Besides being boring, the film is just too busy without much substance. No much to see here folks, keep moving. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!! Good day!

Good. The Worm checks in with another solid recommendation. I was a little apprehensive at first because the Mobile Movie Man is not a huge soccer guy. I’m more of a casual fan. I watch during the world cup but that’s about it. I was glad I took the time to watch this one though. This is a documentary about a soccer club in Jerusalem and their die heart fan base. These fans are so invested in their teams, and it’s nothing like you see here in the United Stated. The relationship between sports and politics is always an uneasy one, now throw in Israel and the hatred between Jews and Muslims and you have some disturbing eye opening footage.  The documentary follows this specific soccer club through their 2012 – 13 season during which the political views of a vocal loyal group of fans threatens to tear the team to pieces. When this was over I was like thank god I was born and raised in the USA. This is a solid recommendation and a must see for any soccer fan. Thanks again Worm for the recondition and please keep them coming.

Very Good. The Worm checks in with one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. This movie obviously didn’t get enough promotion because the 1st I heard about this movie was at the Academy awards with all of its nominations. The fact that Moonlight beat this movie is a travesty. Comparing those two movies is like comparing a Benz to a Chevy. This movie is based on a true story and it’s just so well done from top to bottom. It’s a very touching movie from the beginning to the end. There are not many really positive uplifting movies out there these days so this was a real stand out. One thing I will throw out there is to make sure you have the English subtitles enabled because the 1st part of the movie is in Indian. I have no problems at all with subtitles, I just want to give you a heads up so you have a better viewing experience. Worm thanks again for the solid recommendation and please keep just the good ones coming!!!

The Take (2016)

Good. The Mobile Movie Man likes action movies and this was an entertaining action movie that that will keep your interest throughout.  Holly Wood is cranking out constant crap so when something like this comes out it’s refreshing. When the movie is over and you say “that was not bad” that is basically a win these days with Holly Wood. The story line is interesting enough and combine that with a foreign cast and some familiar faces it just works. This movie definitely has a lower budget than say a Mission Impossible movie, but if you are an action fan like me it’s definitely worth a look. I can guarantee they didn’t spend 100MM on this either, but as far as I’m concerned they didn’t have to. Rumors has been swirling for a while now that Idris Elba will be the next James Bond, and after watching this I think he would be a solid choice. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!

Department Q: The Absent One (2014)

Good. I watched this movie based on the Worm’s recommendation of the 1st in this trilogy and I have to be honest, this has to be one of the better sequels I’ve seen ever. Of course you have the Godfather 2 and Terminator 2 and very good sequels, but movies like that are rare. Most sequels today suck, plain and simple.  You guys that are anti sub titles really need to give it a shot once and you’ll be glad you did. There are a ton of good stories out there that you are missing. I wish the liberals in Liberal Land would buy these scripts and make these movies in English versions instead of making 75% of all of the crap they pump out on a regular basis. I think part of the reason I liked this as much as I did is because it’s more of a complete story in itself and not totally building on the original. It’s more like another chapter with the same characters and not a typical “sequel” per say. Bottom line this is just a good detective mystery with just enough twists to keep you guessing throughout. Solid movie and thanks again for putting me on to this Worm. I’ll watch the 3rd one very shortly. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!

In Order of Disappearance (2016)

Good. The Worm checks in with a foreign movie with subtitles that rewards handsomely if you give it a shot. Netflix lists this as a comedy but I don’t get this foreign dark type of humor. To me this was more of a crime thriller and although predictable at times I thought it was done extremely well done. This movie is like a good soup. It has all the right ingredients, good story, murder, revenge, money, greed, and drugs. I could have done with a different ending but that would be me being overly critical. For those of you out there who refuse to watch movies with subtitles, you are really doing yourself a disservice because The Worm is doing a lot of good digging bringing us only the good ones so we don’t have a bad experience. Nice to get back on the horse with another good movie. 2017 has been a breath of fresh air so far with only one bad movie. Thanks again for the solid recommendation Worm and please keep them coming.

Department Q: The Keeper of the Lost Causes (2013)

Good.  First off the bat I want to welcome Horrorfestival to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out and please send me some at either or at  Now this is a foreign movie with subtitles and you know the only reason I would watch this movie to begin with is because it was recommended by The Worm. His reputation speaks for itself, especially with foreign movies. This is a Danish trilogy, and I will watch the other 2 movies for sure at some point. I thought everything here was extremely well done. The writing, plots, characters, and the actors. The only negative thing I could say about it is the fact that you have to read subtitles, but the story is that good that you get over it real quick. How Hollywood is not remaking these movies into an English version is beyond my comprehension. I was researching these books and apparently the author hopes to write 10 novels. If they are all like this then that will be something. I don’t want to give away too much. Solid movie. If you can get over the fact that you have to focus and read subtitles then you will definitely like this one. Thanks again for the solid recommendation Worm, and please keep only the good ones coming. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!!!
